Big Announcement From Government Of India On CET
On 19th August, Union Cabinet approved setting up National Recruitment Agency (NRA) that will conduct Common Eligibility Test (CET) for selection of Non-gazetted & Non Techncail Posts (Group B& C) in the Central Government and Public Sector Banks.
Initially, the NRA to conduct CET twice a year.
On an average 2.5 crore to 3 crore aspirants appear for about 1.25 lakh vacancies in the central government every year.
Based on CET score, final selection for recruitment shall be made through separate specialized Tiers (II, III, etc.) of examination which shall be conducted by the respective recruitment agencies viz SSC, RRB, IBPS.
Candidates can schedule tests and choose centre of their choice.
CET scores can be shared with Central Govt, State Gove, PSU, UTs, Private Sector.
The CET score of a candidate shall be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of declaration of the result. The best of the valid scores shall be deemed to be the current score of the candidate.
The test will be conducted for three levels: graduate, higher secondary (12th pass) and the matriculate (10th pass) candidates.
Medium of writing will be a multiple choice objective type question paper.
There will be no restriction on the number of attempts in the CET, it will be subject to the upper age limit.
